Kenne "CannonBall" Cramer -
Bio |
Born in Mishawaka IN., Kenne
Cramer moved to South Florida with his family, when he
was 12 years old, where he began his love for the guitar. Kenne
studied classical guitar with Vince Bredice at Miami Dade Community
College, which gave him a strong foundation for (live) performance,
studio work and the necessary tools for songwriting. He performed in many
local clubs all over South Florida and was regularly hired for demo
sessions. In 1978, Kenne attended the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT)
in Los Angeles, honing his craft on guitar with such noted players as:
Pete Anderson, Jennifer Batten, and Jesse Gresse among others.
Cramer moved to Nashville in1984 and immediately began working with
various groups of players and singers and soon would catch the ears of T.
Graham Brown. In 1989 Kenne began touring full time with T. Graham Brown,
and appeared on various TV shows including "Nashville Now," "Hee Haw," and
"The Pat Sajak Show." He also performed on "This Country's Rockin", a
three-day festival at the Pontiac Silverdome, which was taped and aired
numerous times on TNN.
In 1992
Cramer began working with LeeRoy Parnell and appeared on "Nashville Now",
"On Stage", and the prestigious "Austin City Limits". His performance on
"Austin City Limits" still airs to this day. LeeRoy Parnell used Cramer on
many of his demo sessions and his guitar playing can be heard on the
recording; "Rockin' the House", a song used by the Texas Rangers baseball
team at all their home games. In the summer of 1992, Cramer started
performing (live) fronting his own band in Nashville at some of the local
clubs like, "The Sutler" and "3rd & Lindsley", and was soon
discovered by some of Nashville’s up and coming artists.
During the
next eight years, Cramer found himself touring with national and
international acts, starting with Ronnie Milsap. Touring with Milsap
helped Kenne gain exposure at a national level. One of the
highlights during this time with Milsap was the opening of the "Ronnie
Milsap Theater" in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which caught the ear of
international singer Engelbert Humperdink.
Cramer
began 5 plus years with Engelbert Humperdink touring all over the world
and had the opportunity to record two albums and a live video concert with
Engelbert during this period.
Longing to
get back to his roots of Blues, R&B, Rock, and Jazz, Kenne "Cannonball"
Cramer started working on his debut recording, "Midnite Ride". Currently
promoting this new release, Cramer is already receiving positive feedback
and attention of the music industry and his fans.
